Number 6 in my tribute to those zany toys of the 90's is none other than the Mobile-Operations Godzilla Universal Expert Robot Aerotype, M.O.G.U.E.R.A.!
Funny story about getting this guy - anyone who has ever gotten the 6-inch standard release of the figure (complete, anyway) know he comes with a big drill bit thingy. For several years, I had no idea what it was for. I thought it was something of a big gauntlet to go over his "hands", but it never really attached. It wasn't until I saw GODZILLA VS. SPACE GODZILLA and noticed ol' Mogey's vehicular forms - the tank-like Land Moguera, made from his upper torso, sports a large drill that emerges from the center of his chest. So...THAT'S where it goes...
I studied his 6-inch figure quite a bit. Obviously, he's one of the few characters that isn't redesigned drastically like, say, Anguirus or Biollante. But after studying the toy quite a bit, I noticed that he's been slimmed down and looks much sleeker than the original film version. As for the recolor, I honestly ALMOST like it over the regular colors. Maybe it's because I like that shade of metallic blue.
